If you want to play Fortnite with a controller, it's very easy.
On PC
Connect your controller:
Xbox controller: Plug it in with USB or connect via Bluetooth.
PlayStation (PS4/PS5) controller: Connect with USB or Bluetooth.
Open Fortnite.
The game should automatically detect the controller.
Press any button on the controller, and the on-screen controls will switch to controller mode.
On Console
Simply turn on your controller and launch Fortnite. It works automatically.
Recommended beginner settings
Builder Pro layout
Look Sensitivity: 4–6
Aim Sensitivity: 4–6
Aim Assist: On (enabled by default on supported controller platforms)
If the controller isn't working on PC
Restart Fortnite after connecting the controller.
If you're using a PlayStation controller, launching Fortnite through Steam with Steam Input enabled can help if it's not detected.
Try a wired USB connection if Bluetooth isn't working.
