Ubisoft Delays Major Games to Focus on Quality

Ubisoft has announced that several of its biggest upcoming games have been delayed to 2028 and 2029, giving development teams more time to polish their projects. The company says the decision is part of its strategy to improve game quality and deliver stronger launches in an increasingly competitive gaming market.
Despite the delays, Ubisoft maintained its financial outlook after reporting first-quarter bookings that were slightly above expectations. Executives said the company is continuing its cost-cutting and restructuring efforts while focusing resources on its biggest franchises.
The publisher also revealed that Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has sold 3.5 million copies within two weeks of release, making it one of the strongest-performing entries in the series. However, Ubisoft has not yet disclosed which future AAA titles have been pushed back
